Evangelism Team
January 18, 2006 Meeting Minutes

 A subgroup of the new Communications and Outreach group met. We wanted to be sure to keep up the efforts of the former Evangelism Team. Jim Wolff led the meeting, and Ken Fong took these notes.

We agreed that our role going forward would be to be an idea generator for the larger Communications Team, and then to use Communications to get things communicated. We would be the conscience for building on events at St. Luke’s to draw new people in.

To make this practical, we will push the full Communications Team to lead an effort to establish and keep up a church-wide calendar of all events; this will make it possible for us to plan additional efforts for upcoming events to get more exposure to St. Luke’s.

We also talked about providing information to all the small groups, including what the Communications and Outreach Team can do for them, and listing evangelism ideas that the groups could act on.

Finally, we agreed that the former ET group should meet not less than quarterly.
