2005 Tournament Volunteers Needed

Running a successful golf tournament is hard work and it requires the help of numerous tournament volunteers to go smoothly (at least from the Player's perspective!). This includes the upfront work and planning as well as the actual day of the tournament. If you would like to be a part of the 2005 Tournament Planning Committee please email Dan Raap or Dean Conklin with your name, address and phone number. We are especially looking for individuals who are comfortable calling on local businesses for sponsorships and donations.

On the actual day of the Tournament, we will need approximately 10 - 12 Tournament Volunteers to staff registration tables, help direct players, sell raffle tickets and "Mulligan Money", help run the putting contest and act as "Hole Monitors" for the various Hole-in-One Contests. The job does come with several fringe benefits including free refreshments (the open tab on the beverage cart is only for tournament volunteers!), a box lunch, and you are welcome and encouraged to attend the awards banquet and dinner following the tournament. So basically, we give you free food and drink and if you are lucky, you may have a chance to drive a golf cart (they have new carts this year at Highlands Ranch Golf Club and they are pretty fast!) Perhaps you are a non-golfing spouse of one of our players and this would be a great way to enjoy the day outside as a family. We will need you to arrive at the course for your assigned duties on September 24th at 11:30 AM and plan to make it the entire afternoon. Bring sunscreen and a comfortable lawn chair if you can. If you are only able to help out for a portion of the time, that's fine, as we can certainly use your help early in the afternoon with all of the players arriving and registering. Please email Dan Raap or Dean Conklin to indicate your interest in helping on the day of the tournament, the hours you are available to work and the best way to communicate with you.
