SUNDAY AT ST. LUKE’S

Good afternoon, St. Luke’s:

It is the season of Lent and we are telling stories of vine and branch: ONCE UPON A SACRED GARDEN. Our scripture theme is from John 15:5 as written in the delightful paraphrase, The Message: I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Here's the bulletin link:http://stlukeshr.com/public/bulletin.pdf

This Sunday, March 7, we will celebrate a SERVICE OF HOLY COMMUNION as we enjoy the musical leadership of cantors, Jim Ramsey and Sallie Suby-Long. I will be reflecting on what Jesus did for us in his journey to the cross, God So Loved the World. It is traditionally called, atonement, the gift of being at-one with God. We are delighted to welcome the Chancel Choir and the St. Luke’s Orchestra for this celebration of the third Sunday of the season of Lent.

EASTER FUN DAY will be Saturday, March 27, 10:00am-noon. This is always a highlight of the Easter season for children and families. To help make this another successful event we are asking for donations of small individually wrapped candies to be used to stuff Easter Eggs. We will be collecting candy through March 21. Please look for the collection box in the Fellowship Hall or at the Sunday School Superintendent’s station.

A blessed journey to Easter!
