United Methodist Volunteers in Mission for the Rocky Mountain Conference

The following is some UM Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) news for your Sunday bulletin:
1) This is the last UMVIM emailing from Betsy (Keyack) and Ann (Fort). It has been our pleasure to help you over the last 6 years. Rod and Lee are part of a new 8-person UMVIM Leadership Team who will be supporting the people of the Rocky Mountain Conference.
2) Interfaith Fellowship and Tree Planting, Sunday, October 10, 2010, 1:00-5:00 pm, Sand Creek Regional Greenway, Denver - join a group of Jews, Christians and Muslims for a great Fall day of fellowship and tree planting to beautify a trail. 3) Liberia, November 4-15, 2010. Continuation of health-related mission to Liberia called "Liberia Connect" sponsored by Trinity UMC, Denver. Contact Cheryl Townson, Cheryl.Townson (at) uhc.com.
4) Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations, South Dakota, June 4-11, 2011. Annual trip that is highly recommended as a memorable experience with Native Americans. Contact Bob Henman, bobh (at) mesanetworks.net.
5) Ubuntu Explorers - this is a wonderful relationship-building program sponsored by United Methodist Women. Groups go on mission trips all over the world. There is a trip to Brazil in November 2010. See web site http://new.gbgm-umc.org/umw/programs/ubuntu. There will be more trips in 2011.
