Welcome
Welcome to the nursery ministry of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
Our Church strives to provide a safe loving environment that is staffed with responsible, trained individuals who will lovingly care for your children.
The following information should help to familiarize you with our policies and procedures. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your family.
Our Staff
Each nursery worker has gone through a screening process to help ensure your child’s safety. Nursery Staff are CPR certified and first aid trained. There are always two trained staff members on staff. We want you, as a parent, to have the utmost confidence in the childcare at St. Luke’s.
Check In
The nursery will be open 15 minutes before each service. Please inform the nursery workers of any special needs, allergies, or special requests that you have for that day. You will be given a numbered name tag to help us identify you with your child. One tag will go on your child, another tag will go with you and the last tag will go on your child’s diaper bag or belongings.
Please check your child in on the sign in sheet located in front of the nursery. Only nursery workers should be inside the nursery, however, if your child needs you for any reason during the service your number will be displayed. We try to create a peaceful and predictable environment for your child to feel safe and secure.
Check Out
Your child can be picked up immediately following the service. For safety and security reasons, nursery workers can only return the child to the parent who has the corresponding numbered tag. We also ask parents to remain outside the nursery area while picking up your child. If you would like to visit the nursery please try to in between service times to aid in the transition for the children and workers.
Food Policies
Please feel free to send a bottle or sippy cup that is clearly marked with your child’s name. No food is allowed in the nursery due to allergies.
Health Policies
For the health and well-being of all children, please do not bring your child to the nursery if any of the following have been present within the last 24 hours:
Fever, vomiting or diarrhea, constant runny nose or cough, any contagious virus
